Laura Hile has been
busy!!
A woman approaching the "years of
danger," Elizabeth Elliot is no longer a young girl in
her first blush of youth, or a woman past her prime. Miss
Elliot is that rare creature that has improved in looks
as she has grown older. But, is she growing finer as a human
being, and would anyone notice if she did? One handsome man of
the sea has noticed, and is doing everything in his
power to have her. Mercy's Embrace by Laura Hile
is now available from Wytherngate Press. | |

One of the little hobbies of the
Ladies of the Guild is playing around with stills taken from the
movie adaptations and giving them humourous
captions that give an insight into the true workings of the minds of
Miss Austen's characters. Here is one of my
favourites:

"He
has a fine mind," Mrs Dashwood gushed, as she watched Mr Willoughby
depart. "And such advanced ideas,
too!"
"Only imagine,
Marianne, he has just this morning been telling me about some
arrangements which are already underway: Prenuptial Gestation and a
Surrogate Progenitrix. You'll have a nice healthy baby just after
you are married, dear!"
How convenient! A
whole family without any fuss or bother! What a man, to think of
such things!"
So, stroll on over to the
Captioned Photo
Gallery and see
what we've been up to. |
